At Clean Energy Bio Fuels, we prioritize sustainability and environmentally friendly practices. We have been working with restaurants across the southeast for years, collecting their used oil and recycling it for greater purposes.
Clean Energy Bio Fuels has been servicing restaurants with our used oil collection solutions for years. Why should you choose our company over other competitors? Check out our benefits below:
The capacity of a commercial restaurant deep fryer is measured in pounds of oil held. A gallon of vegetable oil weighs approximately 7.5 pounds. The majority of commercial fryers on the market can keep between 30 to 110 pounds or of cooking oil (4 to 14 gallons) with the largest commercial fryers able to hold 300 pounds or 40 gallons. If you are unsure of how to dispose of your used cooking oil please contact us and we will be glad to send a representative out for an on site consultation. Every restaurant is different and has a different frequency of changing their oil. We typically collect the used cooking oil once a month when the bin gets around 70% capacity but if you need pickups more often we will be glad to accommodate you! We will schedule our pickups to fit your needs and we will provide the containment at no cost.
Used cooking oil is a commodity generated when people change their fryer oil. Used cooking oil sometimes is referred to as yellow grease, UCO, used vegetable oil (UVO), recycled vegetable oil, or waste vegetable oil (WVO)! Restaurants use soybean, canola, or peanut oil, but many other oils are used such as sunflower, corn, palm, olive, if you fry with it we will recycle it!
Fryer oil is sometimes changed daily but can be used up to five days before being changed. If the oil is used beyond this period, food will not taste as good and the oil will need to be replaced with a fresh batch. Once the cooking oil has surpassed its usefulness to fry food the composition of the waste oil is on average about 70% used cooking oil, and the rest is water, food material, and other waste. We are proud to provide a high value use for used cooking oil. We provide our customers with a detailed statement quarterly documenting how many pounds of oil we have collected. Because we have our own solar powered biodiesel plant we also will provide a quarterly environmental impact report that details the emissions offset by converting used cooking oil into biodiesel.
We collect and recycle residential cooking oil and we have provided oil collection containers at the following sites.
